Donations

Andrew Mabey 4th August 2017

I have many fond memories of Grandad, from bouncing on his knee as a toddler, to watching in awe at his skills as a dolls house maker, with new miniatures produced on every visit and not forgetting the annual Christmas parties held at Gran and Grandad’s house. I particularly remember looking forward to showing Grandad any craftwork I had made at school, especially woodwork. As any true chippy would, he never resisted the need to award marks out of ten, and although I was always proud of the generous scores I received, it was of course never more than 9/10 because; “there is always room for improvement!” I am incredibly proud of Grandad’s service in the 2nd World War and make this donation in his memory, to help all the heroes and families who have served and sacrificed for us.
